Hi everyone and MERRY CHRISTMAS!! My boyfriend and I just found out after Thanksgiving that we are going to be having a baby!! We are excited!!! I am concerned because this will be our first baby and I am a high risk pregnancy!I am looking for someone supportive who may have the same issues or who can be a friend to me in this time, because we want the baby more than we've ever wanted anything before. I will have to have the baby naturally with no pain meds and I think that will be rough! I am 31 and my boyfriend is 45.

I've had six, but I was 19 (and married) when I had my first.  I had a pudendal block at the appropriate moment, I don't know if that is an option for you.  Why no pain meds?  Medical issues?  Allergies?  I found demerol to be very useful with the last 5.

Hello again,

I just remembered that my daughter-in-law had 2 of her children after she was 30.  And she had some problems too.  But my grandsons were born just fine.  She had one test that was supposed to tell if the baby was downsyndrome.  She was beside herself for a while when it came back positive.  Just remember the doctors don't know every thing.  I think a positive attitude and atmosphere is so important.  I was surfing the web today and found a very good site for all kinds of health problems.  It is www.herballegacy.org.  This is a wonderful information site.  Take care.
