Why do kids fight

I see many posts about kids fighting and often wonder why no one ever asks how it all got started. There is a general assumption that it's just normal behavior!
IMO and experience, it is not NORMAL...IT WAS OUR PARENT'S FAULT!
My brother & I were systematically taught and trained to be bad to each other and allowed be bad to our little sister by our PARENTS.
Our home was troubled, unhappy, FRIGHTENING and a perfect breeding ground for troubled kids like us. Our parents and parenting was the entire reason for our so-called normal sibling rivalries. Parents have the DUTY to teach, train and model good, loving, respectful behavior and attitudes in their own home and ours FAILED miserably to do their DUTY so we ended up fighting a lot while assuming it was all the other kid's fault.
IT WAS OUR PARENT'S FAULT!

Know what Jim, why don't you take over this forum and all we would need is one thread - that would be the one where you tell us all how bad we are at parenting and you could issue your peurile little edicts to your hearts content. Don't think there would be many members left to listen to your sour, twisted little soliliquys though. We are all pretty fed up of them now.

Amen Junieg, personally I dont believe jim is a parent. If he acted like this as a kid, he deserved whatever his parents had to do to discipline him.

Think you may be right there. Perhaps the best idea would be for us just to ignore his replies.

The reason she is "touchy" is because she is actually a parent, something you seem to be long on advice about, but oh so short on experience.

Jim, I have raised four children, two of whom have a disability, and they are doing very well thank you. All happy, working and loved and loving. I am also involved in the upbringing of my three grandchildren who are also all happy, well adjusted [unlike you] children.

Additionally, I am a childcare professional who works in an award winning, internationally acclaimed nursery. I am well respected there too.

I am not touchy about my parenting as I know I have done the job to the best of my ability and my children often tell me how well they think I have done the job.
I continue at work to help raise children to be well adjusted people too.

Jim, get some help urgently or you're going to die a bitter, twisted, unloved old man.

Jim, you have all kinds of “advice” to solve everyone else’s problems, have you solved any of your own recently? Just curious. Good luck.
