Discussion Title: Self-hypnosis birthing methods
Created by: twinmom Created on: Wed, 04/18/2007 - 2:14pm. Has anyone tried self-hypnosis birthing methods? I have heard a little bit about these but I don't know anyone who has actually tried during labor. I would love to know if this really helps with pain or not.

I strongly recommend Hypnobabies. Easy at home course that will really help you chill out for labor--even if you do choose an epidural it can really help!

I've never heard of this before, but it looks very interesting. Thanks for posting the link--I'm going to bookmark it and learn more about this for my next pregnancy.

The hospital that I'm delivering at offers a hypnosis session, but I think I might enjoy it more if I could learn about it at home -- on my own time. You feel that you can get just as much out of a homecourse?
