Can anyone explain the difference between hormone free milk and organic milk? Is it safe and healthy to give a 14 month old hormone free milk or do I need to buy organic?
I believe being hormone free is just one element of being organic. Organic milk also means that the cows are able to roam in a pasture, and are fed an organic grain diet.
Personally, we buy organic whole milk for our 21 month old. But, at her daycare she gets their normal milk, which I believe is not organic. So we just try to buy organic for her whenever possible, but aren't 100%.
