I promise my son if he got all A's I will get him a Wii or PS3 for his birthday and he did it, he got high honor roll, with all A's. I am very proud of him. I am also very afraid to get him one of these games.

My husband and I are Christians and I am not sure how these games are going to impact our home, I've tried for a long time to keep those games away from him.
I do not want him playing the fitting games with guns and all that crazy stuff. I will prefer educational games, but I am not sure if those games come with educational CD.
Please give me some advice on how these games work, I know I am a little slow in the department but I need someone to enlighten me soon. My son birthday is in July.
PS: Which game is better?

I don't know if its the same thing, but I was also hesitant in bringing a gameboy into my home until I promised my daughter one. I was so relieved when I found an educational game for it. Its called mega game boost and it helps with memorization and concentration. It is very challenging and my kids love it.

Good luck, and congratulations to your sons achievements, keep it up!

We have an xbox 360 and the wii. By far, the wii is the better choice. The wii has more kid friendly games and games that adults love to play. I had no intentions of getting on there and playing it; the next thing I know we were bowling and playing tennis. The best part of the wii is that they do not try and lure you in with crazy graphics and violence, what lures you in is the competition between family members.

ok my kids have a WII,playstation ,and x box 360,Wii offers more family games than the others my 9 yr old loves the cute games ,the wii comes with a sports game it is very kid friendly ,also it does have some educational games video games are not what is bad it is not checking on what our kids are playing that is bad ,he is young you will be the one to decide what he will be playing just choose the games you will allow him to play ,you can set guide lines on how offten he plays ,we get most of our games at Game stop they have great prices and the people who work their can tell you what goes on in certain games ,like i said WII has some good kids friendly games ,i enjoy playing the games with my daughter ,we play for a while ,then it is time to turn it off and spend time catching up on the day together.you can also go on Gamestop web page and look around at the games .just set the rules first like homework comes first ,set the amount of time you will allow him to play on it .i never make promises i cant \ or will not keep to my children .having a video game does not mean you are not trying to do right for your family you just have got to be smart about it .

I did some research about both games online and I also ask friends and family members opinion. I think the Wii is in the lead. I will do some more research in regards to games; what's educational and what's not. Thank you. Your advice did help.
