Discussion Title: book plea!!

I am 14 and I love to read however, I am a very high level reader and my mother is very protective over what books I read. I am not allowed to read anything with romance in it and prefferably not with juvenile delinquints drinking or drugs. I can read adult books but they cannot have any of the things from above in them. PLEASE SEND RECOMMENDATIONS!!

I took over my mom's account for a minute: allow me to introduce myself a little; I'm on my third year in college and still really enjoy reading fiction and fantasy. I don't honestly know how clean you need it to be, so I'll start with the really clean stuff. I would recommend:
-the Septimus Heap books,
-the tales of the Round Table, by Gerald Morris (has romance, but not sex),
-the Tiffany Aching books by Terry Pratchett,
~any books by
-Patricia C Wrede,
-Cornelia Funke
-Vivian Vande Velde,
-Diane Duane (her "So You Want to be a Wizard series in particular)
-Clare Dunkle (I think, she also has romance, but no seduction scenes. If it gets weird, then stop)
-Garth Nix, especially Sabriel, Lirael, and Abhorsen
-Brian Jacques' Redwall series (I know it's in the children's section, but it's pretty good).
-Patricia McKillip (at least Od's Magic, I don't know about the rest of her books)
Those are the books I can recommend off the top of my head.
A pretty good resource is
www.fantasticfiction.co.uk
They won't tell you how clean the book is, but you can always ask just how inappropriate a book is after you discover it's existence.

THANKS A TON!!!!!!! That list was awsome!!! I just came back from the library and I got most of the books. Myy mom has to check them first but they sound GREAT. Thanks again!!!!!
