Can it be something else?

I have an 8yr old boy who writes his numbers and letter backward. He has some trouble reading and alot of trouble writing. He was tested for Dyslexia and he didn't fall in the range for it. I have asked the school to do more testing and they have all these guild lines they have to do before they will do farther testing. I'm wondering if there is another learn issue that could cause him to continue to write his letters and numbers backwards.

I would be looking for a second opinion. My son wrote some letters and numbers backwards for quite a while, but he eventually corrected the problem. When I asked, I was told by several people that it was fairly normal, so I did not worry too much about it. Is it possible to have him re-tested? Has he ever had an eye exam?

I am trying to push the school to retest him. But it is a slow process. He needs or wears glasses. When I make him. Its hard to keep him in a pair, because he loses them, breaks them, so on. When he wears them he does the same thing. He is due for a new pair here in a week. I think I will glue them to his head this time. Thank you for your idea.
