The school shld have a policy on bullying. I wldn't let up on this. Find out as much info as you can from your daughter. Do you know the other girl's parents? Maybe talk to them. Stay as involved as you can, and badger the school until they do something to fix the situation. Teach your daughter to stand up to this girl and defend herself if she has to. In no way shld this be interfering w/ your daughter's learning. If nothing changes, get a lawyer. Even just the threat may light a fire under the school's behind to take action. If all else fails, consider changing schools or homeschooling if that's even an option for you. I sympathize w/ what your daughter's going through, and I hope the situation resolves itself quickly.
